In honor of Earth Day 2025, the World Spirits Alliance and Business Council for International Understanding (BCIU) gathered at Suntory Global Spirits’ New York headquarters to spotlight how the spirits industry is embedding sustainability into every aspect of its operations – from water stewardship to responsible consumption, through initiatives around water conservation, and sustainable agricultural practices.

There were interactive activities at stations that tested people’s knowledge of sustainability topics and highlighted the industry’s responsibility efforts to meet global environmental challenges and reduce harmful use of alcohol.  These sparked powerful discussions, where WSA members reaffirmed our commitment to addressing environmental challenges and promoting responsible drinking practices worldwide.  Together, we are shaping a more sustainable and responsible future.
