World Spirits Alliance is the leading voice of the global Spirits sector. It ensures that our unique heritage and innovation unite us in making a positive impact on the world. It provides a platform for the spirits industry to collaborate on global policy issues and foster responsible and transparent collaboration with international organizations, governments, and other stakeholders.
WSA and its members are committed to promoting responsible drinking habits, responsible production, advertising and marketing practices to tackle underage drinking and contribute to the reduction of harmful use of alcohol.
The objective of the WSA and its members is to advocate for:
- Elimination of tariff, non-tariff barriers;
- Fair, transparent and evidence-based regulation of distilled spirits;
- Adequate excise tax structures and non-discriminatory taxes;
- Proportionate evidence-based public health measures for distilled spirits;
- Ambitious strategies to combat illicit alcohol.
